Summer 2023 Staff - Grease School Edition
This is Sarah’s 15th year with Adirondack Center Stage. She began by acting in the ensemble in
Willy Wonka Jr. in 2009. She continued to act on stage in numerous productions with both
Adirondack Center Stage as well as the Corinth MS/HS Drama club. Throughout her years on
stage she has dabbled in many aspects of theater. She was assistant costume designer for The
Lion King Jr. and props master for Willy Wonka. However, dancing is Sarah’s true passion. She
has been dancing since she was three. She took 14 years of classical ballet classes at
Adirondack Repertory Dance Theater, as well as 5 years of tap and 7 years of jazz/ musical
theater. She was Assistant choreographer for Alice in Wonderland, It’s Up to You NY,
New York, and The Lion King Jr. Sarah then transitioned to choreographer for The Night Before
Christmas as well as Theater at a Distance (TAAD), Seussical, and Shrek the Musical. Through
college she took classes in ballet, jazz and musical theater dance. Sarah recently graduated
from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with a B.M. in Music Education, and will be
starting as the beginning band teacher at Corinth Central School this coming fall.
Lauren is excited to return to Adirondack Center Stage as Director for this summer's production of Grease: School Edition. Working with the ACS kids is an absolute blast! Her favorite part of directing is witnessing the “aha” moments when an actor has a great idea or realization. She serves on the ACS board, and has been involved with the program in one way or another since its founding in 2008. She began as an actor in the program, and has written several plays for ACS, including Christmas Around the World (2019) and a musical adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2013). She won a TANYS award for her costume designs in ACS’s Disney’s The Lion King (2017), and returned two years ago as Director for Seussical and last summer's Shrek the Musical. In addition to her role as Director, she also works to update the ACS website. She's passionate about supporting local arts organizations, and has been involved in a wide variety of theatre groups around the area, including Glens Falls Community Theatre, Hudson River Shakespeare Co., Schuylerville Community Theatre, Lake George Youtheatre, Hubbard Hall, Saratoga Arts and Saratoga Children’s Theatre. She's also fluent in French and Spanish and teaches French at Troy High School. This year she choreographed the Troy HS production of The Addams Family Musical.
This is Meghan’s seventh year with the ACS Summer Program. She is thrilled to take on the commitment of the head costume designer. Meghan is currently Wardrobe Supervisor at Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany. Meghan also costumed several productions while at SUNY Oneonta including: Stop Kiss, The Good Person, Colony Collapse, Peter and the Starcatcher, Romeo and Juliet; as well as solo designer on The Actor’s Nightmare and Titanic. She has also assisted in costuming numerous productions with Corinth MS/HS Drama club over the years.
Her ultimate goal is always to help the actors shine and create a visual masterpiece for the audience.
Katherine’s love for theatre runs deeply, as she has vivid memories of her parents bringing her to Broadway as a young girl. She is extremely proud of her most important role as Mother to four outstanding children, all of whom love the theatre as much as she does. While being onstage is not her aspiration; we are lucky to have her backstage as her strengths for organization, management, and creativity are endless. She has worked with the Corinth MS/HS Drama club for several years in areas such as student management, costume design, prop production, lead hair and make-up artist and stage management. Katherine holds a Master’s of Special Education degree from Salem State College, which aids in her ability to interact and connect with our actors with an increased understanding of how they learn and communicate.
